Maxine Simons Arvey

Franklin, NC - Maxine Simons Arvey, 79, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Tommy and Lottie Clark Simons. She loved her family and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Arvey is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dennis Arvey; three sisters, Pauline Freeman, Jean Dills Kusterer and Ruth Burnette all of Franklin and two brothers, Bob Simons and Earl Simons both of Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dent Simons and Clint Simons.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Dusek officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Simons, Ronnie Dills, Michael Contino, Jim Brown, George Lynch, Leroy Grider and Darrell Simons. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 8:00 pm at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
