Megan Lunsford Wood

Megan Patrease Lunsford Wood, 69, of Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025. She was born December 19, 1955, in Orlando, FL to the late Aubrey William Lunsford and Roberta Hall Lunsford.

Mrs. Wood was of the Christian faith. She was the sweetest, most patient person ever known and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Megan was a hotel manager for Embassy Suites and won many awards in customer service. She was a caretaker for all, and she always had a smile on her face.

Survivors include her three children, Kimberly Burke (Michael) of Franklin, Daniel Behnke of Orlando, FL, and Jason Wood (Ashley) of Jacksonville, FL., six grandchildren, Makayla Burke, Rylee Burke, Raven Wood, Aiden Wood, Amethyst Wood, and Temprance Wood. Brothers, Dennis Lunsford and Marty Lunsford, and a sister, Jasper Lunsford Llee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Murray Wood, and brothers, Gary Lunsford and Doug Lunsford.
