Melanie Elaine Payne
Greensboro & Franklin, NC - Melanie Elaine Payne, age 48, of Greensboro, NC formerly of Otto, NC passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of Kyle H. and Marilyn H. Payne. She was a nurse practioner at Womens Hospital in Greensboro; was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and she loved her cats.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Kevin Payne; one niece, Alyson Payne, one nephew, Ethan Payne; one uncle, Dean Henson and one aunt, Hazel Stamey.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Duane Corle and Rev. Janet Greene officiating.. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Asbury Building or Cemetery Fund, PO Box 113, Otto, NC 28763 or NICU Womens Hospital, c/o Helen Mabe, 801 Green Valley Rd., Greensboro, NC 27408.
