Melba Mary (Horne) Norden

Melba Mary “Horne” Norden, 103, of Franklin passed away Friday, April 03, 2020. Melba was born August 30, 1916 in Estero, Florida to the late John Horne and Julia “Wright” Horne. Until a year and a half ago Melba was a resident of the Pine Hill Park in Franklin.

She is survived by a brother, Robert Horne of Chilhowie, Virginia; four nieces, Jean Wood of Waynesville, Karen Hugh (Jerry) of West Minister, SC, Debra Hall of Chilhowie, VA, and Sherry Carlton of Chattanooga, TN.; two granddaughters; and very special friends, Irene and Nathaniel Witherspoon. In addition to her parents, Melba is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Norden; she was also preceded by her first husband, David Frenyea; a daughter, Linda Hemberling , a sister, Althea Hendry; two nephews, Derald Hendry and Dwayne Horne.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
