Michael John Ryan

Michael John Ryan, age 60, of Franklin, NC passed away Monday, June 29, 2020.  He was born August 4, 1959 in Nashville, TN to the late Lester Raymond Ryan and Helen Laverne Madden Ryan. Mr. Ryan was a carpenter and of the Christian faith.  He was a loving father and grandfather. Michael loved to fish, build things by hand, and he was a big Tennessee Fan.

Survivors include daughters, Danielle Blackwell, Megan Ryan, Sara Ryan and Michelle Ryan; sons, Nathan Hursey and Ryan Hursey; grandchildren, Josiah Hursey, Jaxon Hursey, Makenna Hursey, Ariyah Blackwell, Caiden Ryan, Tiana Gregory, Trinity Ryan,Teagan Ellenberg,, Barrett Hursey, Jasper Ryan, Benjamin Chance Rich and Trayten Ellenburg; sisters, Debbie Myers of Virginia, Karen Biggs of Goodlettsville, TN and Erin Herzmark of West Palm Beach, FL.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sheila Austin and Patricia Martin and a brother, Jack Ryan.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2020 in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Hursey, Ryan Hursey, Billy Blackwell, Cody Rich, Jaxon Hursey, and Josiah Hursey.
