Mildred J. Burnette

Franklin- Mildred J. Burnette, 80, of Franklin passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013. Born in Macon Co., she was the daughter of the late Everett and Bertha Bryant Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Burnette who died in 1994. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She liked gardening, flowers and quilting.

She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Flores and husband Juan of Clarkston, MI, Connie Klapko and husband Gregg of Flint, MI and Michelle Lane and husband Dale of Franklin, NC; one son Douglas Burnette and wife Yvonne of Flint, MI; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a long time companion Billy Ray McAllister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Law, Dale Lane, Josh Chastain, Gene Estes, Dickie Phillips and Kenneth McCaskill. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23rd at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rose Creek Baptist Church, 80 Blue Ridge Dr., Franklin, NC 28734.
