Mildred Stanfield Turpin

Franklin, NC - Mildred Stanfield Turpin, age 84, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late George and Esther Jane Gregory Stanfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Logan Earl Turpin. She was an artist even though she had lost her dominant hand; she loved feeding and watching birds. She was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Turpin is survived by a sister, Madge McCall of Franklin, NC, and a brother, Lester (Bud) and wife Judy Stanfield of Franklin, NC. She is also survived by two nieces; two nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruthalene Napier.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Dendy officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery with Bill Stanfield, Justin Russell, Milles Gregory, Ronnie Evans, Wayne English, and Clyde McCall serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
