Minnie Louise Bryson

Mrs. Minnie Louise Jamison Bryson, 83, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 20, 2026. 

Mrs. Bryson was born December 18, 1942, in Jackson County, NC to the late Edgar Jamison and Hilda Buchanan Jamison. Minnie worked as a CNA, cleaned houses, and sold real estate during her working years. 

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and caregiver. She loved the Lord and her family with all of her heart. She was a member of Yellow Mountain Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, John Bryson and his wife, Connie; Brother, Lonnie Jamison; sisters, Jessie Griffith and Mary Vachon; great-granddaughter, Ayaisha Driver; and Great-grandsons, Maleek Littlejohn and Kaiden Littlejohn.

In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Javan Bryson; brother, Eldon Jamison; sisters, Toots Curtis and Ann Webb; and a granddaughter, Jessica Bryson. 

 A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 24, 2026, at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Ashe and Rev. Patrick Owen officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
