Mitchell Hampton Haskett

Franklin, NC - Mitchell Hampton Haskett, age 96, of Franklin, NC passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at a local nursing center. He was born in Macon County, the son of the late Johnny and Laura Buchanan Haskett. He worked in textile mills. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. He loved to walk and he attended Grace Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruby Passmore Haskett; a daughter, Laura Ann Hall & her husband Dewight of Bellmont,, NC and a son, Charles Haskett of Lenoir, NC. Nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Elsie Evelyn Haskett and Evelyn Haskett; three sons, Dewey Haskett, Ned Haskett, and Johnny Haskett; five sisters, Lorrine Passmore, Ollie Mae West, Telitha Wilks, Susie Thompsonand Liz Adams; one brother, Ned Haskett.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Rodriquez officiating. Burial will be held at Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 30 from 1:00 2:00PM, one hour prior to the services at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
