Nancy (Dockins) Guyer

Mrs. Nancy Dockins Guyer, 78, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Nancy was born October 18, 1945, in Marietta, South Carolina to the late Howard and Esta Shook Dockins.

Nancy worked and retired from Tek Tone for many years. She was a member of Iotla Baptist Church and attended Mt. Siani Assembly of God church. She loved to cross stich and crochet many things for family and friends. She loved her roses, lilies, and many other flowers.

Most of all Nancy was a simple person, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was dearly loved by her grandkids. She loved spending time with her sister Gail.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James C. Guyer of the home; two daughters, Cheryl Toth of Simpsonville, SC and Rita Burrell (Adam) of Franklin, NC; a son, James "Jim" Guyer (Jenny) of Franklin, NC; nine grandchildren, Jessica Toth, Megan Toth, Dustin Toth, Jacob Burrell, Tanner Guyer, Morgan Cook, Ethan Peek, Aaron Beaver, and Chelsea Gates; seven great-grandchildren, Faith Burk, Aiden Toth, Kasen Toth, Chase Garrett, Blakely Burrell, Sophie Cook, and Chloe Gates; and three sisters, Gail Bradley of Sylva, Diane Dockins of Conway, SC, and Tammy McCall of Cashiers, NC.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Dockins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. John Raby officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.
