Nancy Jane Milstead

Franklin, NC - Nancy Jane Milstead, age 85, of Gingerwood Drive, Franklin, NC passed away Monday, February 4, 2008 at a local nursing home. She was a native of Macon County, the daughter of the late Dewitt T. and Lula Buchanan Allen. She was married to Larry Milstead who passed away in 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of Iotla Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Horace "H.E." Milstead and his wife Sam of New Orleans, Charles Milstead and his wife, Cathy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Roger Milstead and his wife, Anita of Knoxville, TN; one sister, Geneva Johnson of Franklin, NC; two brothers, Claude Allen of Franklin, NC and Cecil Allen of Pontiac, MI. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Ferguson and a brother, John R. Allen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Robert Dryman officiating. Burial will be at Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery. Her grandchildren and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 9 from 1:00-2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
