Nathan Clayton Blanchard

Franklin - Nathan Clayton Blanchard, age 25, of Franklin, NC passed away Wednesday, June 09, 2010 at his residence. He was a native of Macon County, the son of Clayton Scott Blanchard of Franklin, NC and the late Mary Kay Blaine. He was a painter and a member of Wells Grove Baptist Church. He loved helping others, loved his dogs and hunting and fishing.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Jessica Blanchard; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann of the home; paternal grandmother, Anna Belle Houston of Franklin, NC; two sisters, Lisa Blachard and Tonya Blachard of Franklin, NC.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 13 at 2:00PM at Wells Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Dixon and Rev. Robert Dryman officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. John Blaine, Jerry Cook, Harry Cook, Bruce Higdon, Jackie Cook and Lawton Houston will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 12 from 6:00-8:00PM at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the Church thirty minutes prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Smoky Mountain Shriner Masonic Home for Children, c/o Wells Grove Baptist Church, 1189 Wells Grove Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
