Nora Jean (Baldwin) Kinsland

Nora Jean Baldwin Kinsland, 78, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Tiger, GA. Mrs. Kinsland was born in Macon County to the late W.E. "Gene" and Geneva Parrish Baldwin. She was married to James "Bo" Kinsland who preceded her in death on February 22, 2015. Nora was a graduate of Franklin High School class of 1955; she received a business degree from Western Carolina University; served on the Franklin Merchant Association and the chamber of commerce. She was a team mother of sports for her sons; was the co‑owner of Jack and Jill Shop with her sister, Ruby, for 33 years and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Franklin, serving as children’s teacher and on various ministry teams.

Survivors include her sons, Mike Kinsland, Gregg Kinsland and wife Christie, and David Kinsland and wife Amy all of Franklin and six grandchildren, Kyle, Alex, Corrie, Bo Michael, Talley and Siler Kinsland.

Mrs. Kinsland was preceded in death by a grandson, Baldwin Kinsland; two sisters, Ruby Cansler and Lolita West and  two brothers, Gus Baldwin and Ralph Baldwin.

A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Franklin with Rev. Jim Dusek and Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark West, Johnny Waldroop, Matthew West, Adam Waldroop, Dan Cansler, Kyle Kinsland, Alex Kinsland, and Billy Mashburn. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of the BYKOTA Sunday school class and Franklin High School class of 1955. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00‑2:30 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
