Orrin Luther Denny

Orrin Luther Denny, 94, of Nantahala, NC  passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015. Mr. Denny was born in Macon County June 12, 1921 to the late Luther Denny and Esta Hampton Denny. He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Muriel Grant Denny, who passed away on August 25, 2015 and a son, Tony Denny. Mr. Denny was a carpenter and was a member of Briartown Baptist Church.

Survivors include his two sons, Douglas Denny and wife Eula Mae of Whittier, NC and Austin Denny of Kernersville, NC; and a daughter, Rita Cable of Nantahala, NC; Four granddaughters and three grandsons; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Briartown Baptist Church with the Rev. S.J. Waters and Rev. Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from  6-8 p.m. at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Andrews.
