Pamela Jean Bryson

Ms. Pamela Jean Roper Bryson, 76, of Topton, NC passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026. Pamela was born March 15, 1950, to the late Walter Roper and Ophia Louise McGlouthin Roper.

Pamela was a loving mother, Meemaw, sister, and friend. Her family and children and grandson were her whole life. She loved cats and other animals. She was an avid Tar Heel fan, loved Michael Jordon, and enjoyed watching her soaps like General Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of White Oak Flats Baptist Church.

Survivors include her three children, Nicholas Bryson, Crystal Bryson and her husband, Joseph Chilton, and Laura Bryson; one grandson, Luke Chilton; and two sisters, Barbara Creasman and Velva Bateman.

In addition to her parents Pamela was preceded in death by her siblings, R L Roper, Roy Roper, Mary Smith, Bernice Ramsey, and Joyce Cook.

A graveside service will be held 11:00AM Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Aqoune Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Delmer Chilton and Rev. Joel Creasman officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.
