Franklin, NC - Paul Lamar Duvall, age 82, of Franklin, NC, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012. He was born in Macon County, the son of the late H. Wayne and Novia Brendle Duvall. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War. He owned and operated several service stations in Franklin as well as his Radiator Repair Shop. He liked to hunt, fish, and ride motorcycles. Paul was one of the first members of the Franklin Rescue Squad, a life member of Franklin VFW Post #7339, and a member of Cowee Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Julia Waldroop Duvall; three daughters, Diane Stanley and husband Donnie, Margaret Perry and husband Vic and Polly Farley and husband David all of Franklin, NC; two sisters, Betty Teem and Dorothy Berry both of Franklin, NC; five granddaughters, Miranda Manley and husband Daniel, Jessica Stanley, Mia Stanley, Lindsay Shuler and Erin Kimsey; He was preceded in death by brothers, Garland, J. B. and Ralph Duvall, and nephews, Larry and Gary Duvall.
Per his request there will be no services, the family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 pm Friday evening at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to a Charity of One's Choice.
