Franklin, NC - Rev. Philip Wesley Bennett, age 59, of Eutaw, Alabama, formerly of Franklin, NC, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010. He was born in Macon County, the son of Rev. William C. Bennett and Laverne Gregory Bennett of Franklin, NC. He was an Episcopal Priest. He loved the Lord and his work all his life. He loved cameras, photography, watches and he was computer savvy. He taught piano earlier and Brenda Angel was one of his students. He attended Lakeland Florida Bible School, Emory Theology, Erskine Theology and Penn College of Theology Church. He was Rector of Episcopal Church of St. Stephens in Eutaw, AL.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Gregory Michael Bennett of Memphis, TN and Andrew William Bennett of Sylva, NC; one brother, Martin Alan Bennett of Franklin, NC.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 18 at 10:30AM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Brenda Angel officiating. Burial will be held at Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery. Miles Gregory, Lloyd Coggins, Jr, John Cobb, Larry Angel and Michael Ramsey will serve as pallbearers.
