Hendersonville - Phillip Ray Bradley, 57, of Hendersonville, died Tuesday, May 7, at his home. A native of Transylvania County, he was a son of the late Horace and Susie Phillips Bradley. He had lived in Seattle, WA and San Diego, CA prior to moving to Hendersonville in April of last year.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a Civil Service professional who worked for many years on aircraft carriers and submarines. He was a very spiritual person and attended and supported the Calvary Chapel of Asheville. He also supported mission minded organizations in San Diego as well as those in Western North Carolina. He loved the ocean and was an avid angler.

Mr. Bradley is survived by two children, Nichole Alexia Heim and Noel A. Heim; his brother, James Bradley and his wife Dawn; two nieces, one nephew, two great-nieces and one great-nephew and many loving aunts and relatives in Franklin and Northern Georgia.

A funeral will be held 1:00 PM Monday, May 13, in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Hendersonville. Rev. Eric Cornette will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Henderson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends for one hour before the service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
