Phillip Chapman

Franklin, NC - Phillip Chapman, age 63, passed away on August 27, 2013, at his home. Phillip was born in Nichols County, WV, the son of the late Henry Russell Chapman and Leah Opal Radar. Phillip worked for Austin Powder for a number of years. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Phillip was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Glenda Mary Chapman; three daughters, Marsa Chapman, and husband Brandon, Heather Chapman, and Carrie Chapman Lewis, and husband Lou all of Craigsville, WV; one son, Brian Chapman, of Rupert WV.; two sisters, Rose Mary Chapman Long of Indiana and Norma Salmons of Elkin WV; two brothers, John Chapman and wife Helen of Summersville, WV and Mike Chapman of Arizona. Thirteen grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive. Phillip was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Crow Chapman and brothers, Gerald Chapman and Roger Chapman.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 31 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 1:0 0PM, one hour prior to the service at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
