Phyllis Jean (Folsom) Garrett

Mrs. Phyllis Jean Folsom Garrett, 92, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019.

Mrs.Garrett was born in Holly Hill Fl. on November 28, 1926 to the late Granville B. Folsom and Hilda B. Folsom. She was married to the late Philip R. Garrett who preceded her in 2008.  Phyllis worked and retired from Prudential Insurance Company; she was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church; she loved to sew, quilt, bake, and cook. Most of all she loved to fellowship with fellow church members at the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Cherie D. Eicher (David) of Cheifland, FL; a son, Stephen Garrett (Rita) of Gainesville, FL; three grandchildren, Robert A. Sikkenga (Angela), Scott Garrett (Maria), and Kristen Garrett and her special friend, (Sabrina Gale); four great-grandchildren, Coral Sikkenga, Sebastian Sikkenga, Isabella Garrett, and Dylan Gale; and a sister, Patricia Barnes of Bakersfield, CA.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 3, 2019 in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Evan Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
