Rev. Dr. Charles "Slim" Franklin Hartzog

Rev. Charles "Slim" Franklin Hartzog, PhD., 90, of Franklin, NC went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 29th, 2026. He was born July 31st, 1935, in Coffer Co., AL to the late Ruth Chapman and Daniel F. Hartzog.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 5, 2026, in the Grant Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Fouts officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will follow the service at Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Albury, Charlie Hawkins, Chuck Haney, Boyce Cunningham, and Greg Church.
