Rita Elaine Millak

Rita Elaine Millak, 71, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Rita was born January 28, 1953, in Derby, Connecticut to the late Martin and Florence Potenso Tackach.

Rita was an assistant to the assistant superintendent of Westport Schools in Connecticut until her retirement. She was a graduate of Seymour High School. Rita was also of the Methodist faith.

She was an avid horse rider. She loved to three-day Eventing, show jumping, equestrian, and she trained 5 horses. She and her husband loved to hike. Rita was also ab avid bird watcher.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Joseph Millak, sister, Sharon Blevins; nephew, David Searles; and a niece, Susan Blevins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
