Robert J. Bradley, a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and true friend too many went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Mr. Bradley was born in Wilkes County, Ga. to the late Samuel L. Bradley and Nancy Elizabeth Keener Bradley. He was married 64 years to Grace Ledford Bradley who survives. Robert worked for Burlington and Belden Industries; was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church; he belonged to three different gospel groups; he could play the mandolin and the guitar.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Conda Marie Bradley and Rhonda Lynn Cowart (Randall) both of Franklin; three grandchildren, Jamie Bradley (Chris), Joshua Cowart (Amanda) and Justin Cowart (Rachel); great-grandchildren, Emma Whitworth, Ethan Whitworth, Addison Cowart, Sarah Bradley, and Logan Bradley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael “Brab” Bradley, brothers, Loyd Bradley, Hubert Bradley, Oneal Bradley, and Odell Bradley; and a sister, Gertrude Bradley.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Bryant-Grant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Josh Brooks and Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chris Bradley, Josh Cowart, Justin Cowart, Randy Hughes, Dillon Ford, Russ Odell, and Logan Bradley; honorary pallbearers will be Denny Ledford, Randall Cowart, and Mr. Bradley’s grandchildren.
