Robert Dale Brendle

Franklin, NC - Robert Dale Brendle, 74, of Franklin passed away Monday, July 7, 2014. Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late John Blanchard and Gladys Evelyn Parker Brendle. He was retired from the Town of Franklin Sanitation Department. Dale was good hearted and loved helping others. He was a member of Watauga Baptist Church

He is survived by one daughter, Kathryn Marie Cannon and husband Russell of Cannon, GA; six sisters, Maxine Hester, Lucille Wolfe and Delores Thomas and her husband Clyde all of Greenville, SC, Marvel Curtis and her husband Verlin of Franklin, Linda Emory, and Sonja Brannon and her husband Bill all of Greenville, SC; one brother, Doug Brendle and his wife Joyce of Greenville, SC and two grandchildren, Zachary and Rose. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother J. B. Brendle, Jr. and two sisters, Evelyn Mashburn and Joan Stewart.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will be in Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Brendle, Troy Ledford, Grover Dale Brendle, Gene Mitchell, Chris Brannon, Tony Curtis and William Mashburn. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
