Robert William Brooks

Otto, NC - Robert William Brooks, age 68, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008. He was a native of NY. He was the son of the late William and Alice Meade Brooks and was married to Diann Elizabeth Doolittle Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a retired electronics technician and a member of Franklin American Legion Post 108.

He is survived by his three daughters, Jacqueline Sata of Apollo Beach, FL, Sherry Brooks Bisneue and Lisa Brooks Cassidy Montana, five sons, Harvey "Butch" Brooks and John Brooks both of Otto, James "Jim" Brooks of Athens, TN, Danny Brooks Cassidy and Steven Brooks; Eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Betsy Cirelli and Mary Brooks of NY also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Brooks.

Military funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 29 in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home. The Franklin VFW Post #7339 and American Legion Post #108 will conduct military graveside rites. Burial Will be in Rush Cemetery.
