Robert John Crowers, Jr

Franklin, NC - Robert John Crowers, Jr., age 72, of Franklin, NC, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Robert Crowers, Sr. and Florence Marian Salerno Crowers. He graduated culinary school in Philadelphia where he met his wife Joan He was a retired engineer and a US Army Veteran. Bob was a Native American who loved hunting, fishing, car racing, the beach and cooking. He was a Christian and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bob was former owner with his wife, Joan of Town Hill Bake Shoppe in Franklin.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Joan Marie Ghisu Crowers, daughter, Kelly Crowers Giudry and husband Nate of Ft. Worth, TX; step daughter, Cheryl Ann Thacker of Wilmington, Delaware; step son, George Luciotti of Boothwyn, PA; sister, Cyndi Boyer and husband Joel of Aston, PA; brother, James K. Crowers and wife Joyce of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, Caden and Lane; six step grandchildren, Joel, Philip, and Justin Mastroeni, Michael, Maria and Noella Luciotti. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 35 years, Judith Crowers and by a brother, Leonard E. Crowers.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Bryant Grant FuneralHome, with Rev. Jim Park officiating. The Franklin VFW #7339 and American Legion Post #108 will conduct military rites.

The family will receive friends from 10;00 11:00 AM, one hour prior to the service.

Graveside services and burial will be held later at Edgewood Memorial Park in Glen Mills, PA.
