Franklin - Mr. Robert Edward Lee, of Franklin, North Carolina, Age 80, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, in a local hospital. He was the son of the late Henry Lester and Corrine White Lee Edwards. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a Mobile Home salesman by trade. Mr. Lee was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a great-great-grandfather. He enjoyed painting, going to church and going to flea markets.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife Tonya Lee, daughter Rose Denman and husband Duane of Pollock, Louisiana, a step daughter Tasha Lynn and husband Gary of Palm Beach, Florida, two sons Robert Lee Jr. and wife Marsha of Walhalla, South Carolina, and Terry Lee and wife Catherine of Seneca, South Carolina. He is also survived by sister Christine Whittney and husband Bruce of Tallahassee, Florida, a sister Frankie-Ann McLaughlin and husband Jim of Tallahassee, Florida. . Mr. Lee is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Jerry Lee, three sisters Ruth Hudson, Mary Cavanaugh, brother Henry LesterLee.

A service will be held on Monday March 17, 2014 at Cowee Baptist Church at 12:00PM with Rev. David Powell and Rev. Ronnie Branson officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.
