Robert Edward Long. Jr.

Robert Edward Long, Jr., 64, of Franklin, NC, passed away December 10, 2024. He was born September 19, 1960, in Stuart, FL to the late Robert Edward Long, Sr. and Mary Lois Wilson Long.  Mr. Long was a commercial fisherman.  He loved to fish and loved working on things. He also enjoyed building boats with popsicle sticks, hunting and wheeling and dealing.  He loved his daughters and grandbabies, and his main thing was keeping his family going.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Long; his aunt Louise Phillips, uncles, Curtis Lee "C.L." Johnson and Donald Johnson (Bonnie); son, Teddy Long; grandson, Logan Anderson; and brother, James William "Buddy".

He is survived by his daughters, Maryann McAllister (Rich); Lisa Anderson (Josh), Melissa Devoe; and Rene Odem (Brock); stepsons, Timmy and Tommy DeVoe; thirty-seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers, David "Jitter" Long (Cheryl) and Ed Long.
