Robert Joseph Witte, age74, of Otto, NC, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017.  He was born in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Joseph William Witte and Violet Pearl Roberts Witte.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice M. Witte, after 28 years of marriage.  He was a Head Plant Foreman for a school district in St. Petersburg, FL for 17 years and was a Catholic by faith.  He loved cars and working on motors, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, step‑father and step‑grandfather.

He is survived by his second wife, Barbara Woodring Witte, two daughters, Donna‑Marie Vance and Judith Anne Southworth, four grandchildren, Melanie, Eddie, Kory and Angel, two great‑grandchildren, Fallon and Liam.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:45 pm Friday at the funeral home.
