Rolland William Lindgren

Mr. Rolland William Lindgren AKA "Lee Garen", 82, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025. Mr. Lindgren was born July 23, 1943, in Fox Lake, IL to the late Mary Lindgren.

Rolland loved music and dancing. He worked in entertainment industry for many years in both TV and radio, where he gained experience as a News Director, Operations Manager, and on-air talent. During this time, he had the opportunity to work with notable musicians, such as Ted Nugent playing Cat Scratch Fever. From 2000 to 2010, Rolland was with the CNN Radio Network in Atlanta, GA where he worked as a news anchor and editor doing special interviews and reports for affiliates across the globe. Rolland also taught broadcasting at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in W. Palm Beach, FL and Atlanta, GA for a number of years. Mr. Lindgren wrote a Christmas book for children and was known to play golf with Jackie Gleeson as well. Rolland received the Associated Press awards for several years for his excellence in top news reporting in Florida, he also received an Addy award for commercial writing and production in Florida, as well as three awards as a member of a team receiving two Peabody's and the Alfred I in addition to the DuPont-Columbia University Award for news excellence while at CNNRadio Network.

In addition to his parents, Rolland is preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Nair.

Mr. Rolland is survived by his wife, Linda McClure; his children, Eric (Sarah) Lindgren and Caylien Lingren; his grandchildren, Lily Lindgren and Kristen Nair; a great-granddaughter, Nova Nair; and a brother, Douglas Lombardo.
