Ronald Steven Sherman, Sr

Otto, NC - Ronald Steven Sherman, Sr., born July 24, 1951 November 26, 2013 in Wilmington, NC to parents, Carl Linwood Sherman and Wenona Sylvian Sherman. Preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Carl Sherman; son, Ronald Steven Sherman, Jr., and grandson, Nathan Skeet Moore. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Pamela Kay McCall Sherman and children, Sabrina Moore, Olivia William, Veronica and Dylan Sherman; four grandsons, Zane, Blane, Junior, and Sam Moore.

Ron lived in Port Mayaca, FL for a time, where he ran the Port Mayaca Trading Post with his family. He was a volunteer at the Glades Area Pantry and an avid snake hunter. He was a fan of Pahokee Blue Devils football. Ron moved to Franklin in 2012.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Cloer and Rev. Janet Greene officiating. Burial will be in Asbury United Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Austin Dahl, Pat McCall, Eddie Burgess, Tony Moore and William Sherman.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Bryant Grant Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Franklin, NC 28734 to help with expenses.
