Rose Arnold Clark, 105, of Franklin passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016. She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late Oscar and Julie Crisp Arnold. She was married to Wiley J. Clark who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Clark was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a caretaker for many years and she loved fishing and visiting the Outer Banks. Mrs. Clark and her husband, Wiley, visited Merritt Island, Florida to watch the first manned space flight and most recently, she was chosen to be Grand Marshal of the 2016 Franklin Christmas Parade.
She is survived by two sons, Doyle Clark (Nora) and Gary Clark (Peggy) all of Franklin; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Clark.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Dick Richardson and Rev. Bradley Lisk officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 til 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
