Ruby (Anders) Green

Ruby Anders Green, 89 of Franklin, NC went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 15, 2019. She was born May 10, 1929 in Rabun County to the late Manual Anders and Georgia Head Anders.

Ruby was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was the oldest living member of the Prentiss Church of God where she was a church custodian and a member of Sunday school. Mrs. Ruby was married to the late Ed Green who preceded her in 2003.

Survivors include her children, Laverne Allen of Franklin, Maxine Sprinkle (Dean) of Granite Falls, NC, Manuel Lee Green of Franklin, Leonard Green of Clayton, Ga, Nancy Maney (Steve) of Franklin, and Ernest Green (Deb) of Claremont, NC; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs.Green was preceded in death by her siblings, Martha Rea Kell, Mary Vinson, Rosetta Holland, Verdie Wilson, Derotha Owens, and Theodore Anders.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Prentiss Church of God with Pastor Kevin Chapman and Pastor Don Moffitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Union UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Sam Sprinkle, Mike Sprinkle, Paul Michael Green, Mathew Green, Mark Green, Todd Green, Garry Green and Jeremy Maney.
