Rufus Mack Suttles

Franklin, NC - Rufus Mack Suttles, age 83, of Maple Breeze Lane, Franklin, NC passed away, Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in a local hospital. Born in Rutherfordton, NC he was the son of the late William and Leola Suttles. He was married to Betty Tilson Suttles for 63 years. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII, serving during the invasion of Normandy. He was a hard working, loving and caring father and husband.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Mike Suttles of Franklin, NC; three sisters, Mary of Brevard, NC, Bethalee of Utah and Annie of Hendersonville, NC; three brothers, Kenneth and Albert both of Brevard, NC and Charles of Indiana. Two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, William Suttles.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Rogers and Rev. Johnny Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
