Ruth Angel Griffin

Franklin, NC - Ruth Angel Griffin, age 86, of Mashburn Branch Rd., Franklin, NC passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 in a local hospital. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Attie Sanders Angel. She was married to Jeremy "Jerry" Griffin. She was a homemaker and a member of Mashburn Branch Baptist Church. She loved animals, birds and gardening.

Ruth is survived by a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Gibson, Minnie Belle Angel Gibson, and Pauline Angel Gibson and six brothers, Lex Angel, Grover Angel, Fred Angel, Carey (Tuck) Angel, Johnny Angel and Joe Angel.

Funeral services will be held, Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral home with Rev. Alton Dendy officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Mincey, Jean Angel, Jim Graham, Don Deal, Jody Spradlin and Steve Angel. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
