Ruth Mae Younce Crisp

Franklin, NC - Ruth Mae Younce Crisp, age 82, of Franklin, NC passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Granville and Laura Duvall Younce. She was married for 43 years to Troy Levi Crisp, Sr who died in 1994. She was a homemaker; loved to can and cook, fish, read her Bible, and loved being with family. She was member of Burningtown Church of God for more than 40 years.

Mrs. Crisp is survived by four daughters, Jackie Raby and husband Fred, Debbie Crisp, Brenda Crisp and husband Rodney, and Glenda Pruett all of Franklin, NC; one son, Troy Crisp, Sr. and Kathy Godsey of Franklin, NC and Mike Shuler who was like a son; two sisters, Francis Waldroop of Franklin, NC and Lois Farham and husband Gerry of Hickory, NC; two brothers, Joseph Moody Younce and wife Louise of Michigan and Edgar Younce and wife Blanch of Franklin, NC. Fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sons, Charles Eugene Crisp, Boyd Douglas Crisp and Floyd Michael Crisp; son in law, Larry Pruett and a brother, Paul Younce.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Windy Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Don Bates, Rev. Tim Hayes, Rev. Johnny Raby and Rev. Mark Bishop officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chuck Norton, Tony Norton, Lawson Raby, Troy Crisp III, Scott Crisp, Josh Burr, Jerimy Burr, Brandon Mann, Logan Mann and Adam Crisp. Honorary pallbearers will be Misty Raby, Jessica Kenneipp, Amber Crisp, Christy Reeves and Missy Sanders. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 4:00 p.m., two hours prior to the service, at the church.
