Sally Vernon Sanders

Franklin, NC - Sally Vernon Sanders, age 92, of Franklin, NC passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at her residence. Born in Macon County, she was the daugther of the late Mitchell and Rose Brendle Sanders. She was a homemaker and a member of Watauga Baptist Church.

She is survived by one sister, Annie Sanders of Franklin, NC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Elsie Sanders, Lucille McMahan, Maxine Sanders and Dixie Nell Sanders and three brothers, Leonard "Snipe" Sanders, Arthur Sanders and Asbury Sanders.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Price, Rev. Vic Greene and Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will be in Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Bishop, Doug Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Kirk Johnson, Bobby Sanders, Tyler Hughes and Jason Cochran. Honorary pallbearers will be Hospice and Home Health Caregivers. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Angel Home Health and Hospice, 170 Church Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
