Sandra Jean (Sheldon) Ochsner

Sandra Jean Sheldon Ochsner, 86, of Franklin, NC, passed away April 19, 2025.  She was born September 5, 1938, in Mentor, Ohio to the late Harold and Edna (Wayman) Sheldon. She moved from Lake County, Ohio to Franklin, NC in December 1977.

Mrs. Ochsner was passionate about her real estate career and was owner and operator of her real estate business for forty years.  She loved antiques, flower gardening, and quilting.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was a member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church and a member of the Macon Board of Realtors.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Arthur J. Ochsner, Jr.; her children, Karen E. Proctor, Kathryn L. Sheehan (husband Mike), Kristine J. DeLoach (husband Tony), and Arthur J. Ochsner, III (wife Sandy); grandchildren, Kenneth Proctor, Jacob Proctor, Katy Douglass, Sarah Reddish, Anna Burgess, and Nathan Sheehan; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Miles, Grant and Tate Proctor, Maverick and Sunny Louise Burgess and Webb Douglass; brother, Harry Sheldon (Annette) and sister, Margie Krause.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Brian Pitts officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
