Sarah Belle (Warren) Dean

Sarah Belle Dean passed away on December 9, 2017 at the age of 96 at Grandview Manor in Franklin. She was born in Canton, NC to the late Belle and Claude Warren on April 19, 1921.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dean; brothers, Joe Warren, Bobby Warren, Jackie Warren, and William Warren and sister Betty Swanger.
She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Franklin. She had a long and successful career working first in what was known at the time as Macon County Agriculture Extension Office, now Macon County Cooperative Extension Office, and she later served as the receptionist and switchboard operator at the county courthouse. Sarah loved reading and walking but her great love was her flower gardens.  People also enjoyed and admired them when walking or driving by her house.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne Dean Popper and son-in-law Alex Popper of Asheville NC, grandson Eric Popper, his wife, Tracy Popper and great grandson Jack Popper of Chicago, Illinois and granddaughter Catherine Popper of New York City.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
