Scotty Gibson

Franklin, NC - Scotty Gibson, age 47, of Franklin, NC passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 at his residence. Born in Jackson County he was the son of the late Buford and Eddie Marie Bennett Gibson. He was a supervisor at Cemex Concrete Products and was a member of the Piney Mountain Baptist Church in Sylva. Scotty loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his son, Travis Gibson of Young Harris, GA; two sisters, Gail Broom and husband Randy of Tuckasegee, NC and Glenda Brooks and husband Johnny of Sylva, NC and one brother, Tracy Gibson and wife Crystal of Sylva, NC. Two nieces and two nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Eugene Gibson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Stilwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
