Sharon Elaine (Woodring) Houston

Mrs. Sharon Elaine Woodring Houston, 69, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025. Mrs. Houston was born April 11, 1956, in Utica, Michigan to the late Charles Woodring and Jewell Bentley Woodring.

Mrs. Sharon was a member of the Yellow Mountain Baptist Church, loved coon hunting, fishing, and flowers. She loved her family especially her grandkids. Sharon was full of life, multitalented by helping her husband will all the projects he had to do.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Steve Houston; a daughter, Angie Moffitt (Randy); two grandchildren, Brittany Hall (Anthony), and Wade Moffitt; four grandchildren, Colton Mathes, Logan Mathes, Noah Mathes, and Lainey Hall; and a sister, Vera Smith (Ron).

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell and Rev. Patrick Owen officiating. Burial will follow at the Stewart Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be Wade Moffitt, Colton Mathes, Logan Mathes, Noah Mathes, Anthony Hall, and Richard Baumgarner.
