Sherrill Lynn Janes

Sherrill Lynn Janes, 76, of Franklin, NC, passed away April 16, 2026. She was born July 19,1949 in Martinsburg, West Virginia to the late Kenzel Brooks Stotler and Betty Loraine Mann.

Sherrill was the matriarch of the family; she loved her children, grandchildren and all of her family, and looked after her siblings growing up. She was a true believer in God and loved people accordingly. Sherrill was "feisty" and full of life; she was hardworking and made great sacrifices for her family. She loved walking, animals, wine, the Yankees, Washington Redskins, tennis and the Kentucky Derby. She also loved the beach, Harley Davidsons, Mustangs and dancing.

She is survived by her two sons, Troy Shane (Diana) and Travis Shane (Pamela); a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Deanna Keith, Sabrina Foster, Carolyn Deloso, and Gary Stotler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Goldie and Alvin Butler; a brother, Ronald Stotler, a sister, Tamara Mann and adopted son, Trevor Shane.
