Shirley Milford Doolin

Franklin - Shirley Milford Doolin, age 84, of Franklin passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of the late Jim and Cleadie Gibson Doolin. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette R. Doolin. After becoming disabled he loved helping others, he was a very good golfer and had many holes in one at different courses.

He is survived by one son James Doolin and wife Tina; three daughters Cleadie Doolin of Franklin, NC., Cynthia and husband Robert Webster of Haines City Fl., and Nanette Floyd of Melbourne Fl.; six sisters Roetta Brock, Debbie Soper, Aline Payne, Anna Burnett, June Pickard, Helen Abner; one brother Terry Wayne of Hercick, KY; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his parents James and Cleadie Doolin; step mother Arizona Doolin; four brothers Hermon Doolin, Harold Doolin, Sterling Doolin, Larry Doolin; sister Florence Hembree; and a grandson James Carl Doolin Jr.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 7, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Rodriguez. Burial will be at Laurel Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ernie Voland, Rick Miller, Michael Bradley, Doug Mason, Mark Smith, and Clenard Kiser.

The family will receive friends Sunday July 6, 2014 at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 139 Setser Branch Rd. Franklin, NC 28734.
