Stephen Lamar Rogers

Stephen Lamar Rogers, 65 passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. Mr. Rogers was born August 11, 1953 in Jackson County to the late Frank and Iva Lee Hyatt Rogers. He was a contractor and was a member of Windy Gap Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Munger Rogers; a daughter, Denise Rogers of Tampa, FL; a son, Stacey Rogers (Michelle) of Franklin, NC; six grandchildren, Zackery Russell, Logan Russell, Preston Russell, Julia Hixon, Taylor Hixon, and Jaylan Hixon; three great-grandchildren, Madison Rogers, Owen McMahan, and Sawyer Ramey; a sister, Reatha Cabe (David) of Waynesville, NC; and two nephews, Matthew Cabe (Lindsay) of Morganton, NC and Alex Cabe of Washington, DC.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Windy Gap Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home.
