Susie Mae Holland

Franklin, NC - Susie Mae Holland, age 93, of Franklin, NC, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014. She was born in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Sterling and Lula Buchanan Deitz. She was married to William P. "Bill" Holland, who passed away in 1998. She was a homemaker and a member of East Fork Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she loved reading, quilting, and gardening.

She is survived by three sons, William Gary Holland and his wife Brenda, Randall Terry Holland, and Tony Holland all of Franklin, NC; three sisters, Ora Stamey of Canton, NC, Lois Montieth and Katie Wood both of Sylva, NC; three grandchildren, Breanna Nicole Holland, Kylah Rayne Holland and Cameron Henry; one great grandchild, Laney Rae Holland,and a special loved one, Leabee Skinner. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her grandson, William Glenn Holland, three sisters, Jane Deitz, Lillian Green and Opal Hubbard, and a brother, Coy Deitz.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14th at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Deitz and Rev. Bobby Cloer officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Carpenter, Morris Green, Bill Bryson, Chris Green, Johnny Cloer, and Eric Boatwright. The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
