Talmadge Golden

Talmadge Golden, age 80, of Tuckasegee, NC, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023.  He was born March 24, 1942 in Jackson County, NC to the late James and Wannie Mathis Golden.  Mr. Golden worked in construction as a builder and a heavy equipment operator.  He loved to fish and loved his family.  He was very faithful to the  Community Church of God and he loved to sing in the Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Golden and a great-grandchild, Willow Holbrooks.

He is survived by a daughter, Martha Luker; a grandson, Timothy Luker and a granddaughter, Heather Luker; six great-grandchildren, Lilly Jamison, Lincoln Holbrooks, Leland Holbrooks, James Kent, Sarah Reynosa and Leyna Degroff; three great-great grandchildren; brother, Doug Golden; sisters, Edith Crawford and Ann Luker; and former son-in-law, Thurman Luker.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Community Church of God, with Rev. Leonard Luker and Rev. David Luker officiating. Burial will be in Shook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm one hour prior to the service at the Church.
