Teddy Leon Collins

Franklin, NC - Teddy Leon Collins, March 24, 1945 March 20, 2014, born in Blairsville, GA, was the son of Thurston and Juanita Collins. Ted was a member of Higdonville Baptist Church. Ted was active in Macon County Senior Games, an avid gardener, and wood worker. Ted loved his walks in the woods.

Ted is survived by his wife of 17 years, Barbara Chapman Collins; his son, John Mark Collins and his wife Kendra Collins and a grandchild, Madison Rose Collins; son, Brian Collins; daughter, Stephanie Collins; stepson, Allen Chapman and his wife Debra Collins and grandchildren, Jamie Chapman and Ashley Chapman; stepson, Matthew Chapman and partner Cristina Martelli. Ted is also survived by his loving brothers and sisters, Louin Collins and wife Rosie Collins, Kenneth Collins and wife Nancy Collins, Aldarea King and husband David King; Noel Collins and wife Margaret Collins, Annette Satterfield and husband Charles Satterfield, Melvin Collins and wife Candice Collins and Steve Collins and wife Chris Collins.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 23 at 4:00 pm at Old Liberty Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA with Dr. Simeon Martin, Rev. Mack Hutson and Rev. John Mark Collins officiating. Burial will be in Old Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. North Georgia Honor Guard will perform military graveside rites. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 22, from 5:00 7:00 pm at Bryant Grant Funeral Home.
