Franklin - Theodore Franklin Fowler, age 79 of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013. He was born March 31, 1934 in Fulton County, Georgia, the son of the late Tyre Franklin Fowler and Thelma Corrine Perry Fowler. He was a construction building material consultant. He was a member of the first University of Florida football team to go to a bowl game. He and his wife Pat were volunteers for the Elk Bugle Corp in Catalochee Valley in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He was the past president and coached little league baseball and football in Lutz, FL.
He is survived by his spouse of 58 years, Patricia Ruth Nettleton Fowler. He is also survived by three children: Theodore Franklin Fowler II and wife Kelli of Tampa, FL. Deborah Fowler Mackenzie and Victoria Fowler Modin and husband Steven all of Lutz FL. He is survived by one brother, Adrian Wayne Fowler and wife Susan of Tampa FL. He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Dr. John Hopkins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friends of the Smokies Elk Bugle Corp., PO Box 1660, Kodak, TN 37764.
