Franklin, NC - Velma Crisp Ervin, 85, of Franklin, NC passed away Friday, January 30, 2015. Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Esther Teem Crisp. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John William Ervin, who died in 2010. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Ervin is survived by two daughters, Renee Bell and Leann Menteer both of Franklin; two sisters, Marie Pope and Lyn Wooten both of Gastonia; two grandchildren, LaShonda Bell and Megan Menteer Schick and three great grandchildren, Lakota K. Bell, Brett Bell and Erik William Schick.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Sugarfork Baptist Church with Rev. Vic Greene officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Schick, Eddie Fox, Jeff Pendergrass, Dewey Elliott, Jr., Matthew Elliott and Jimmy Teem. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 1st from 6 8 pm at Bryant Grant Funeral Home where the body will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
