Virdie Birdell Conley

Franklin, NC and Clayton, GA - Virdie Birdell Conley, age 84, of Clayton, GA passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at a Toccoa, GA health care facility. She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late George Coleman and Mary Isabell Dryman Conley. She was a cook and housekeeper for the nursing home. She was a member of Tessentee Church of God and loved sewing and quilting.

She is survived by her brother, Fred Conley and his wife Carol of Toccoa, GA; four nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Kidd and Virgie Cox and three brothers, Ernest, Ned and Don Conley.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 5 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryant Grant Funeral Home with Rev. Rondal Owen officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service, at Bryant Grant Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Wright Cemetery.
